This explains what we collect when you use puresummit.co.nz, why we collect it, who it reaches, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Pure Summit sells creamed New Zealand Manuka honey to customers in New Zealand and Australia. We are the business responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at info@puresummit.co.nz about anything on this page.
We handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, and under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 where it applies to customers in Australia.
Your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number if you give one, and the details of what you ordered. We need these to take the order, deliver it, and deal with you afterwards about it. Your password is stored by WordPress in hashed form — we cannot see it.
Card details are entered directly into our payment provider’s form and are processed by them, not by us. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Your email address, and your name, subject and message if you provide them. We also record the IP address the submission came from. That is used only to rate-limit the form against automated abuse, and for no other purpose.
Google Analytics records that a visit happened and which pages were read, using a randomly generated identifier rather than your name. Our web server also keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Providing any of this is your choice. If you would rather not, you can still browse the site — but we cannot take an order or answer an enquiry without the information that goes with it.
Some of these are cookies; some are stored in your browser and never sent to us at all. The table says which is which.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
ps_auth_token | Pure Summit | Keeps you signed in to your account. Cannot be read by scripts in your browser. | 7 days |
ps_woo_session | Pure Summit | Remembers what is in your cart between page loads. Cannot be read by scripts in your browser. | 48 hours |
cookie-consent | Pure Summit (browser storage) | Remembers your answer to the cookie notice so it stops reappearing. | Until you clear your browser data |
wishlist | Pure Summit (browser storage) | The products you have saved. Stays on your device and is not sent to us. | Until you clear it or sign out |
announcement-dismissed | Pure Summit (browser storage) | Remembers that you closed the announcement bar. | Until you clear your browser data |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Counts visits and tells us which pages are read, using a randomly generated identifier. | Up to 2 years |
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the two Pure Summit cookies will stop the cart and sign-in from working, because that is what they are for.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
It reaches these service providers, only so they can do the job we use them for:
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Because some of these providers operate overseas, your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand and Australia.
Order and account records are kept while your account exists and afterwards for as long as tax and consumer-law obligations require. Enquiries are kept while they are useful for answering you and dealing with anything that follows. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe — every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just email us.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Customers in Australia have equivalent rights under the Australian Privacy Principles.
Email info@puresummit.co.nz and we will respond as soon as we can, and within the time the law allows. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we do not hand your information to someone else.
If you have an account, you can view and change most of your details yourself under My Account.
Tell us first at info@puresummit.co.nz so we have the chance to put it right.
If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand, or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are in Australia.
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and the date at the top. It is worth checking back if it has been a while.
